Greenbrier offensive tackle Trevor Jones signed a football scholorship with Tusculum College on February 3, 2010.   Trevor was named first team all Region 2-AAAAA this past season, impressing coaches at the other region schools with both his size and quickness in facing several tough Division I recruits.  Trevor will join former Greenbrier running back Freddie Jones on the Pioneers roster.  Tusculum is the oldest college in the State of Tennessee founded in 1794.  They play in the South Atlantic Conference in Division II.     Congratulations Trevor!   

The 2010 Greenbrier Football Schedule has been announced. The schedule provides much less travel, and many more local matchups for our players, fans, and students. It features a season opening, first ever meeting, between Grovetown and Greenbrier. The schedule also includes a game at Class A power Lincoln County. The final game of the season will be a Region 2-AAAA play in game for play off seeding purposes since we are playing a spilt region schedule to reduce travel. While we will only have 4 regular season games at home this year, we will have 6 home games in 2011.  All games start at 7:30.

The Greenbrier Athletic Foundation has begun fundrasing for our second facilty improvements project - the expansion of our weight room / locker room.  We are asking all football families to buy or sell at least two bricks to help support this project.  The bricks will be installed around the newly installed "Victory Bell".  One of the neat things about this fund raising project is ALL athletic teams will be selling the bricks.  Each athletic team that sells a brick gets to keep 40% or $20 of each brick they sell for their teams budget.  The form is shown below.  When you sell your bricks, get your check and form  to Coach Smith or Coach McClain.

After school strength/speed/conditioning training are being held each day after school.  Workouts will last from 3pm to approximately 4:30pm, Monday - Friday.  If you are interested in playing football and not currently participating in another sport, please plan on attending these workout sessions.

Most of those who receive our football emails are already part of the program, but if you know others that are interested in playing football next year, please have them contact Coach Smith as soon as possible.

For players who will coming up to the high school from the middle school programs we encourage you to have your parents go to the bottom of this website and sign up for our email announcements.  This will allow you to get up to date announcements on Greenbrier Football.
